An audit practice sized for careful reading
Yamane Audit Atelier grew from partner-led fieldwork in Fukushima Prefecture, where manufacturing and trading companies needed auditors who would still open the carton, not only the summary schedule.
Origin
The atelier began when Hiroshi Yamane left a larger regional firm to keep a shorter client list and longer time on the warehouse floor. The name is deliberate: we treat working papers as crafted documents — indexed, cross-referenced, and reviewed — rather than as a race to fill a checklist.
How we work
Engagements are accepted only when we can staff them with people who already understand Japanese GAAP presentation and the practical rhythm of year-end in Tohoku. We write to finance directors in plain English when overseas parents are in the room, and we keep Japanese detail in the file for local reviewers.
