Refunds, cancellations & rescheduling
These terms apply to professional financial auditing engagements with Yamane Audit Atelier. They do not describe retail products or software subscriptions — we do not sell those.
Eligibility
Fees paid toward an engagement may be refundable in part or in full depending on how much planning and fieldwork have occurred, as set out below and in your engagement letter.
Timeframe to request
Send written refund or cancellation requests within 14 days of the event giving rise to the request (for example, withdrawal before fieldwork begins). Later requests are considered only where required by law or expressly agreed.
Full refund
If you cancel in writing before we begin planning procedures and before any deposit is applied to staff scheduling, prepaid amounts are refunded in full within 21 business days.
Partial refund
If planning or interim fieldwork has started, we invoice for time incurred at the rates in the engagement letter and refund any unused prepaid balance. Once final fieldwork has begun, fees for completed stages are non-refundable.
Non-refundable items
- External confirmation charges already paid to banks or third parties
- Travel costs incurred for inventory observation with your prior approval
- Fees for stages marked complete in our progress schedule
Deposits
A scheduling deposit may be required to reserve fieldwork dates. The deposit is applied to the final invoice. It is refundable only under the full-refund conditions above.
Cancellation & rescheduling
You may reschedule interim or final visits with at least 10 business days’ notice at no additional fee once per engagement stage. Shorter notice may incur a rescheduling charge reflecting staff reallocation. We may reschedule for independence or illness reasons and will propose new dates promptly.
No-shows
If key client contacts are unavailable on an agreed fieldwork day without notice, that day may be billed and a new date scheduled.
Work already started
Draft opinions, review notes, and management letter drafts prepared before cancellation remain our working papers. You do not receive unfinished deliverables unless we agree otherwise in writing and fees for work to date are settled.
Refund method & timing
Approved refunds are returned by bank transfer to the original payer within 21 business days after approval. Processing times at your bank may add several days.
