This notice explains how Yamane Audit Atelier collects and uses personal data when you contact us or engage us for financial auditing work.

Data we collect
When you submit a scoping form or newsletter request we collect your name, email address, engagement interest, optional year-end date, and message content. During an engagement we may process contact details of your staff and information contained in accounting records only as needed to perform the audit.
Purposes
- Responding to scoping and contact requests
- Providing contracted financial auditing services
- Meeting professional, legal, and quality-control obligations
- Sending Ledger Brief notes if you subscribe
- Understanding site usage when analytics cookies are accepted
Retention
Enquiry messages are kept up to 24 months unless they lead to an engagement. Engagement files, including personal data therein, are retained for periods required by Japanese professional and legal obligations for audit documentation — typically at least eight years — then securely destroyed or anonymised where feasible.
Your rights
Subject to Japanese law, you may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal data we hold about you, and you may withdraw newsletter consent at any time. Some audit documentation cannot be altered or erased while retention duties apply.
International transfers
If an overseas parent participates in correspondence, we may share necessary contact and reporting summaries with that parent at your direction. Where data leaves Japan, we take steps appropriate to the destination, such as contractual confidentiality undertakings.
